Relief cook to cover holidays, sickness and training. 

At Abbeyfield Gloucestershire Society we aim to support residents to live independently providing two freshly cooked meals per day. You will be responsible for cooking, and assisting in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. Keeping all kitchen and store areas clean and hygienic and following all hygienic practices to help protect our residents and keep them safe.

Meal times are really important to our residents and your role is crucial to making them as enjoyable as possible. You are committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen, during the food preparation process and meal delivery.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of older people, experience of working with the public and an ability to work under their own initiative. 

Main duties are: Cooking meals, completing forms, ordering of stock, liaising with our residents over the menus, ensuring the kitchen and dining area is maintained to a high standard.
