Welcome to our house

Covid-19 Update: Our team are fully prepared, ready to welcome new residents while keeping our current residents safe. Read more information about moving to an Abbeyfield Gloucestershire home during Covid-19.

Abbeyfield House, Chipping Sodbury is purpose built to cater to your needs and still feel like home. The spacious garden is bursting with seasonal enjoyment, especially in the spring and summer. Residents and staff also grow vegetables and fruit, so your meals are as fresh as they are delicious.

Life at an Abbeyfield house enables you to be fully independent, while having all the worry about utilities, meals and other bills taken care of. You will also have opportunity to take part in activities within and outside of the house, joining in as often as you like.

Abbeyfield Chipping Sodbury is in a quiet residential area yet close enough to local shops on the vibrant high street. Nearby facilities include a community library, cafes, dental surgery, doctors and country inns, all nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds with Bristol and Bath close by.

We are safely welcoming new residents, and our dedicated team of staff and volunteers would love to show you around and introduce you to the Abbeyfield Chipping Sodbury family.

Meet the team

House Manager

I have been with Abbeyfield for about 3 years, initially on on the admin side of things and more recently directly involved with the residents. I really enjoy cooking for them because they are such an appreciative audience! Besides cooking I enjoy gardening quizzing and I’m a member of the Parish Council which keeps me busy when I’m not working.

Deputy House Manager

I’m a mum of two. I’ve worked for Abbeyfield for just over 3 1/2 years. I’m a very caring person, always happy to help people.

Deputy House Manager

I am a mum of 3 and one of the Deputy House Managers. I have worked at Abbeyfield House for nearly 4 years and thoroughly enjoy it, as it has a very homely feel to it. The residents are more like an extended family! In my spare time I love to study and read. I am currently learning Spanish.

I have worked as a domestic cleaner at Abbeyfield House for 17 years. I love my job and I enjoy helping the residents and staff. I have a keen interest in astrology and I am a devoted chocoholic!!

What our residents say

Moving into Abbeyfield was the best thing for me. I now have friends and no longer have to cook for myself.

Martin, resident

The company and the garden are excellent, I love going out and enjoying the sun.

Dilys, resident

My dad now freely admits that the move was the best thing for him, and he wishes he had done it many years ago. For me, the move to Abbeyfield along with the staff, has returned a sense of calm and confidence that has been missing for a prolonged period.
