About Abbeyfield Gloucestershire Society
Learn more about our society and our retirement homes based in the Gloucestershire area.
At Abbeyfield Gloucestershire, we offer you a unique retirement: a wonderful opportunity to live life to the full by remaining independent whilst living as part of a social home full of companionship. Our four properties are located within the quintessentially English Cotswolds in Cheltenham, Prestbury, Cirencester and Chipping Sodbury.
As a resident you’ll rent your own homely studio, because it’s situated within one of our lovely Abbeyfield houses you’ll enjoy; home-cooked meals, the freedom to come and go, time with new friends or privacy when you want it. Life becomes pretty stress-free, no more trying to maintain a home and garden, no more admin and bills to sort out and no commitment to buy. Thanks to a monthly all-inclusive rental fee, which includes delicious home-cooked meals and all the bills (except for a phone line).
Across all four of our lovely Abbeyfield houses, your well-being and quality of life is at the heart of everything we do. You will have your own homely studio with a fabulous ensuite bathroom. The studios are neutrally decorated for you to furnish in your own style.

The team behind Abbeyfield Gloucestershire Society
I am passionate about making a difference and am thrilled to have joined the Abbeyfield family, where I will be doing just that – leading the Gloucestershire team to continue to provide the best experiences for all those who live, work and volunteer with Abbeyfield, helping reduce the growing issue of loneliness and creating deep and lasting local community relationships.
I love how varied my role is. My role is such a positive one, I love going to work and I am so lucky to work with such a great team. I get great job satisfaction seeing our residents happy and enjoying themselves, it’s a great feeling knowing that you are contributing to making a difference.
It’s a fantastic environment here at Abbeyfield House in Cirencester. We have created a brilliant family feel and I am proud to be part of the team.
I love preparing home cooked fresh meals for our residents and enjoy getting to know the individual residents choices. We are like one big family at Heathercroft.
I have been with Abbeyfield for about 3 years, initially on on the admin side of things and more recently directly involved with the residents. I really enjoy cooking for them because they are such an appreciative audience! Besides cooking I enjoy gardening quizzing and I’m a member of the Parish Council which keeps me busy when I’m not working.
